Who do you serve and how do you serve them
How did your unique solution help them?
Why did they choose you?
ACTION ITEM: Interview at least 3 former clients with a focus on getting the answers to the questions above but also pay attention to the words that they use, how they discuss the problem, and where they see themselves in the world.
Gain Clarity.
Gain clarity around what makes you unique and why that makes you the best choice for your people.
Pinpointing why clients choose you will allow you to focus on the most impactful content and copy for your business.
ACTION ITEM: Ask three current customers questions with the main focus being on why they made the decision to work with you instead of someone else.
Your Secret Sauce.
How do you stack up against the competition?
Where are they beating you?
What are you beating them on?
Look for gaps in the marketplace and make them your bread and butter.
ACTION ITEM: Do a SWOT analysis of two places you would consider direct competition. Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
Actions You Take:
Identify three things that you do in your business that others in your niche fail to do.
Why are these 3 things important to you and how do they help you stand out and your business succeed
ACTION ITEM: List those three things you do differently and think about ways to create content and products that solve the problems your clients have around them.
Values You Hold.
Identify two beliefs or values you possess that go against the norm in your niche.
These will be essential for differentiating yourself online and you should lean hard into them as you begin to develop your style.
ACTION ITEM: In order to do this spend 15-minutes journaling about your why and how your business helps you support that.
